Located at 1711 Bailey Avenue in Jackson, Operation Shoestring works as an interfaith ministry. Their programs and services promote health and self-sufficiency in target neighborhoods. Their flagship program is for children in kindergarten through the 5th grade. They provide tutoring, literacy development, and cultural arts instruction. Led by certified teachers, they offer neighborhood children a safe harbor after school and during the summer, while helping parents to stay at work with the assurance that their children are receiving quality supervision and care |
