Lunch at Stewpot
Today was a perfect day to do something meaningful. And the kind of day that makes you realize just how lucky you are to have a place to go home to, your own bed to sleep in, and a hot meal available to you whenever you want. Today's Puckett Serves volunteer team cooked and served a delicious catfish meal to a bunch of hungry folks at Stewpot Community Services here in Jackson. Successfully preparing and serving Stewpot's guests requires fast-paced teamwork. Our team kept things moving and really delivered with a fantastic meal. Stewpot's diners made numerous comments today about how nice it was to enjoy some hot catfish and how good everything tasted. And we all had a great time doing it for them.

It's hard to say who got more out of lunch today--the folks enjoying catfish at Stewpot, or our group of volunteers, who all just feel blessed to have been able to do a small something for people who need it.
