Holiday "Catfish Cooking" Dates Scheduled!

We're excited to announce two upcoming Thanksgiving "Catfish Cookings" for Stewpot and Gateway. We're looking for volunteers NOW for these fun, fast-paced, very rewarding activities:

Stewpot - Friday, November 19
What we'll do: Our volunteer group will meet mid-morning Friday, November 19th here at PMC Jackson. We'll then head to Stewpot together (located at 110 West Capitol Street). Once there, we'll cook catfish, fries, hushpuppies, and slaw. We'll prepare box lunches for Stewpot's Meals on Wheels program. After that, we'll prepare and serve lunch for all of Stewpot's guests. We'll then clean everything up and return. The whole activity should take 2-3 hours.

Gateway Rescue Mission - Wednesday, November 24
What we'll do: We'll meet up here at PMC Jackson mid-morning on Wednesday, November 24th. As a group, we'll travel to Gateway Rescue Mission (328 S. Gallatin Street). We'll cook catfish and all the fixings. We'll serve it to Gateway's guests and then clean up afterwards and return back to PMC. This activity should take 2-3 hours.
